THE WORK UNDERTAKEN

There were two main sections to this job.

One was the brick wall which mostly just needed to be repointed, and have a few bricks removed and re-bedded.

The other, far more extensive, work was to the old school boundary wall, which is brick with a flint cladding and Portland coping stones.

The flint work had ivy that had been left to grow for far too long, which had created a thick matt of roots that latched onto the flint work, resulting in large sections of it needing to be removed and rebuilt, once all of the ivy had been removed.
